Well, the second case is certainly very distorted. A Polish person could understand it or not, depending on your exact pronounciacion and also the bigger context. The second word alone could be confused with "mogiła" (grave) but in the sentence you may get from other words that it is a verb which helps to get a proper meaning.
The confusion and errors appear at several stages - how you hear it, how you write what you heard and how someone reads it loud.
