I don't need to manipulate the alphabet. I have a specific list showing which VMS clusters correspond to what in plain text and which VMS clusters are used multiple times—for example, for a glyph: nd = ked, keed, ched (just as an example).
There will probably be three lists: one with the families, one that’s more of a substitution cipher, and a list of suffixes (aiin = "en" air= "ir" etc.)
There will likely be roughly 80 entries on these lists. Arranged alphabetically, this isn’t rocket science—it’s easy to write and to decipher.
Second question
As I mentioned earlier, these examples aren’t about actual translation. The point is to show that, under certain conditions, the VBM theory is capable of converting standard VMS text into German sentences—in this case, five lines in a row into grammatically correct German sentences. To do this, the vowels and consonant clusters are assigned plain text, and the repetitions of these must also be correct.
If this can be achieved over five lines and grammatically correct sentences result, it means that the VBM fundamentally has the right structure to, in theory, translate these strange VMS tokens into plain language. It proves nothing more than that. But this proof is important for moving forward at all.
If these assignments for the clusters and vowels were already the correct cipher, the assignments for the vowels and consonant clusters would have to apply to the entire text, so that the entire VMS text could be translated. However, that is NOT the case. Although German sentence fragments are produced, there is no continuous translation.
To achieve this consistency, we must now figure out how these clusters are actually assigned and how the structures work.
With a homophonic cipher, however, this is very difficult and time-consuming.

My scepticism is simple- if the text is Bavarian we would expect thousands of times sets of short words (or symbols) corresponding to "der"," die", "das" articles. These articles appear in all old German texts without exception.

1. Yes, they do appear very often. However, it also depends on the text. Especially in recipes, the articles can also be omitted:

What's confusing about this VBM method is that the metrics do vary significantly depending on the underlying text. This actually fits quite well with the VMS, because those metrics also vary significantly in some cases depending on the section.
I've prepared a graph here. (Note: there's a lot of AI involved in this. The VMS-side numbers should bei correct, but the generator-side numbers I haven't cross-validated - that would have been too much work. But the point isn't the exact numbers anyway; it's how much this VBM structure is influenced by the underlying text. I had tested this with several generators — the exact numbers vary, but the dependence on the underlying text remains strong in the same areas.)
So I ran my test corpus of German texts through the current, "frozen" version of the VBM generator. All rows are sampled to the same window size (that of the smallest section), which is why the section values differ from the usual full-section figures - it's the only way to make the columns directly comparable.
You can see, for example, how the hapax rate fluctuates between 17.1 and 25.6 percent based solely on the source text. Yule's K (vocabulary concentration) also fluctuates between 39.0 and 57.6, while h2 and h3 remain roughly the same.
I just wanted to illustrate that roughly. As I said, the exact numbers should be taken with a grain of salt. But the general trend is clearly visible across my others generators as well. too.

Nevertheless, I wanted to say that a mirror text can be written in any direction. In general, if you write the text in reverse from right to left, nothing will change fundamentally — you’ll just need to read the text from the end.
