Seriously though, I think Kircher wasn't that bad. I guess he was a dreamer and not the greatest empiricist, but when it comes to information processing and redistribution he had a huge impact in various fields, I believe. Sort of a knowledge hub, trying to reconcile all kinds of ideas. I think he'd be Neil deGrasse Tyson kind of person these days.

I loved the part where he told René Zandbergen that he needs to look at the historical record when he gave insight on why his claims were wrong haha.

I am sad that he didn’t get to share his “solution” with us. He is off to trading I guess

Only took 7 years for me to start accepting it, so I'll give the guy a break. 

But yeah, Rene would probably benefit from checking the historical record from time to time!
