I think that this is the whole point (which you already clearly made before).
Note that this does not require any intentional mystification from the 'artist'. It is just a bad and unclear drawing, certainly for modern standards.
I believe it is impossible to know what that iconographic element means without having an idea of what the page on which it is inserted means, a page where we see at the top a female figure holding a spindle and below another with a ring.
And it's not just the interpretation of that page, but of the entire section of pages with female figures. Rather than an animal, that iconographic element seems to have more in common with other elements in the section, such as those shown below:

Out of interest I was looking at another copy of the same manuscript I posted previously.
I thought this was an interesting sequence of events.
Beasts (of the apocalypse)
The wavy line with wind and rain
The lady with the big red ring
* I am guessing the last image is "she died and is now in heaven with the lamb", but I don't know.
I guessed wrong, ignore last image
This is 32r, 32v, 33r, 33v, I skipped 34r and 34v "angels and demons stuff", 35r, 35v

I've had half a dozen different ideas about Q13 over the years - which is good in a way, cause now I don't take any of them too seriously. I also don't write about them a lot anymore, because I think interpretations of Q13 and the Rosettes usually only work for exactly one person, the one who came up with them. Currently I think it might be an eschatological metaphor (which actually describes a large part of all medieval arts).
Anyway, the kinds of images you link certainly belong in that picture. I linked one of them here before: You are not allowed to view links.

You need to read up on your Revelation though. The Whore of Babylon does
not go up to Heaven with the Lamb :p
Thank you, I did think going from riding a beast to being in heaven was a bit of a switch up
My current theory is that I don't know anything. I've found it is quiet a good one, it prevents deafness and blindness.
There is also this image that has all the elements, its interesting that one version went with the ring(hanger?) and beast(or just badly drawn?) and not the other
It's also interesting how much more "pool like" everything is on the right version, it makes lots of interesting comparisons spring out, rightly or wrongly..

There's a lot of unsettling weather phenomena going on in Revelation. These things you are looking at appear to be from Revelation 16. You are not allowed to view links.

The pool-like thing is their rendition of an earthquake. You got hail and wind and angels pouring all kinds of nastiness. Again, I think a lot of this imagery resonates with some parts of Q13 and the Rosettes page.
The ring must be coincidental here, it looks like a fancy way for this angel to hold his vessel.

Thank you! This post is completely in line with my thinking and I agree that these two are similar and in line with the critter drawing, albeit we may disagree on what was ultimately meant by them.
By the way, I added [img] [/img] around copies of your links for ease of viewing. You can just highlight, copy, hit the image icon and enter, in most cases. For the image extractor I have been adding www. Even though it works without it as an outside link.
I have been meaning to mention this to a moderator for some time, but it is easy enough to add manually.
Left - Another image of the lamb (this time a classic "of revelation/apocalypse") with the book with 7 seals, cloud band and rain
Right - Lamb of god (I think..) with ring and lady with ring. Do you know what this is about Koen?
This is the page link - You are not allowed to view links.

I tried GPT, but I'm fairly sure it's smoking something judging by its answers..
