Does anybody have a link to the Farrugia et al paper? I thought the topic very interesting but was unable to follow along with the line of reasoning.

They should all be published soon. I'll ask Colin what the timeline is (and if we can put up preprints)

I saw this, but I don't know if that was what Keagan Brewer was thinking about:

Hi, Mark:

Can you describe more about the one you’re interested in?  I can get the details for you.  None of the ciphers were by Johannes Hartlieb, unfortunately.

If the fully ciphered recipes from Northern Italy are what you’re thinking of, l can get you the citation.  We do not know the scribe/author but putative location and time is based on paleography work done in the early 20th century and nothing we’ve found contradicts that.  I’ve also submitted an abstract about that specific decipherment to a general recipe conference that’s being held next year.  The deadline isn’t until December 1 but the initial feedback was positive so we are very hopeful for a future presentation and publication (it does not mention the Voynich aspect).

Thanks,

Michelle

Hi Michelle

I was referring to the following:

Many Thanks

Mark
I really enjoyed the conference, many thanks to all the organizers and the contributors! Today I was unable to watch the talks after Patrick's, I am looking forward to read the papers and catch up with what I missed.
Thank you to all the presenters and attendees! Proceedings will be published soon, hopefully open-access. Stay tuned!
Thank you so much for the conference! I followed the event on Twitter. Amazing stuff.
Thank you to the Programme Committee and all the organizers for all your work to prepare this conference!

(and thanks especially to Colin for his patience in working with me to wrestle the paper into the template!)
I was able to watch the whole conference and enjoyed every presentation. (Although I must admit that especially during the first day the hours of advanced statistics and coding were sometimes hard to stay focused on). I really hope this first edition won't be the last, and we will get to see future research using the new tools and methods presented here.
