I think we need much more informations to understand that...

Why isn't this cherry picking a location?  I'm pretty sure I could pull up a map of any country and make this loose association.

Well, I must say that I like this solution, not because I think it is correct, but because it is structurally the most similar to the interpretation that I came up with about 10 years ago now. Obviously it is not as detailed as my interpretation, but there is some similarity in the approach adopted.

I have also discussed this theory on this forum and the ciphermysteries website. I have never presented the theory in its entirety as it is very detailed.

I have been accused of demanding perfection from solvers, but could you explain how this is "fully mapped" with a full ninth of it listed as "still pinpointing"?

It does, however, have a somewhat suggestive framing and a number of loosely defined connections to the Voynich context.

For example, in the period of VMS, Lorenzo de' Medici and his circle of humanists are known to have spent extended periods at the thermal complex of Bagno al Morbo for rest and recuperation. The site appears to have functioned as a notable destination for educated visitors, attracting literati, geographers, and natural philosophers, with figures such as Lucretius, Pliny, Dante, Ugolino da Montecatini, and Leandro Alberti associated with its intellectual milieu.

Its importance makes it the obvious centerpiece. t would be interesting to examine the other cities as well, particularly to determine whether any broader thematic or historical links connect them.

The city of the Lagoni del sasso is called Castel del sasso, which was apparently abandoned in 1412. Interesting detail is that Castel di Sasso is classified as a comune sparso (a scattered municipality), that is, instead of having one centralized town, it is made up of several distinct, quiet hamlets (frazioni): Cisterna, Prea, Strangolagalli, and San Marco.

Sasso Pisano and Burciano also formed part of a strategically significant network of defensive hill-forts guarding the rugged, resource-rich Colline Metallifere ("Metal Hills"). If the rosettes encode geographical or topographical relationships, this wider defensive landscape may be relevant to their design.
