However I'm claiming it to be 400 years off so who is wrong and right? Maybe f68 is two hundred years off according too Rene Zandbergen. This is not an exact science folks.

The absolutely oldest it could technically possibly be is from around ~1300AD. The oldest it could reasonably be is ~1350AD, although this would still be very unlikely.

That could perhaps explain the cheap vellum and amateurish scribing, which seem incompatible with the amount of work that would have gone into composing the contents. It also could explain some egregious scribal mistakes, like the rosary beads turned into tennis balls and the urine exam jar turned into perfume bottle on f85r2.

You have no idea. Google Tom O'Neil Voynich theory.
Quote:The Pastime Picture Puzzle or Pastime Puzzles was an American brand of wooden jigsaw puzzles made by Parker Brothers from 1908 to 1958. Female employees made hand-cut wooden puzzles for adults using scroll saws.[1] Distinctive features of Pastimes include extensive cutting along color lines, a mix of representational and geometric figure pieces (approximately 12 figure pieces out of 100 pieces), and interlocking pieces.[1] The business was based out of Salem, Massachusetts, and at various times had sales offices in New York, Chicago, and London. You are not allowed to view links. Yeah, I have actually been actively considering that possibility (although not really from 1005AD), but I don't have enough proper evidence for it yet.
It's relevant though to oeesordy's theory. If the carbon dating is accepted, is the theory that voynich used 15th century parchment to forge a document that details a 1006AD supernova which nobody can read? For what possible purpose, ego, insanity or otherwise, would this be worth doing?
Frankly, i'm not sure what this theory actually is. It seems all over the place.

Okay, I took my time and read your posts.
You replied twice to me, but not to my point that the carbon dating of the parchment categorically refutes that the author of the VMS wrote about a supernova in 1005AD at the time like you claimed You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. and You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.. If you have since changed that part of your theory, then this thread has also been filled with misinterpretation.
Furthermore, your post You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. about supposed V, M, and supposed "Wilfred" and "Wojnicz" are worrying, as neither are there. You also gave an equation for the circumference of a circle, for what I assume is for no reason? Just fyi, circles and semi circles used in diagrams aren't exactly rare since, well, forever. In almost every culture, western european, eastern european, Asian, Islamic, African, Semitic or otherwise. But Voynich "loves semi circles". Okay.
Also, the whole underpinning of your theory and its interpretations are based on a system of 1-1 substitution using a frequency chart of Latin. I note that the list includes V and U as different letters, when they used to be the same letter. What is your justification for this if the text is NOT latin? The letter frequency for speaking in tongues, even one with latin mixed in, will certainly NOT share Latin letter frequency. So, as needed, you decide which words are gibberish (tongues) and which are meaningful, depending on what you find and whether you can make it work. This is not reproducible and is entirely subjective. For example, in You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. you point to a y and state something like "look, novem is next to november!".
Well, y is literally everywhere in the VMS. It's also next to aberil and octebre, but you don't use those examples as they are not convenient.
I also somehow missed your link to the Harry Potter subreddit, which you seem to be taking as evidence of parseltongue/VMS language to have a dark secret?? You do understand what parceltongue is, right? Are you aware of what it is?
