  I have thought about this before, best image parallels in general. But I'm unsure of how to make a selection. Broad or narrow? Can there be objective criteria? How to handle disagreement?
  
  For example, I'm out as soon as people start posting mesoamerican stuff, but I'm sure they will. How to handle those cases?

  Maybe we shouldn't think too much and just start with least controversial stuff? Things could become clearer on the fly.
  
  I guess any random herbal won't be good but we could start with:
  
  - different versions of De Balneis Puteolanis
  - Nicole Oresme
  - different manuscripts with that lady with a rosary and a cane
  - Palatino 766

  I would bo both ways.
  VM folio by folio, but also manuscript-family wise (Dioscorides, Tractatus de herbis - and then which specific manuscript)
  The advantage of something like an excel sheet would be that you could sort it either by VM folios or by manuscript type. or by the rating of matches, like the internal plant matches.

  I agree, Some manuscripts have specific pictures similar to Voynich pictures but some are similar in a more fuzzy way, giving some Voynich "vibe".
  Think of all versions of De Balneis Puteolanis. I believe it's worth to make a list of them.
  
  It is of course very subjective but I hope finally we will be able to agree that De Balneis manuscript family is relevant and let's say Physiologus manuscript family is not relevant.
  
  Koen, if I may suggest something, you could make 2 threads. One would be closed, currated one and the another one would be for discussion and proposals.

  Items should also include the better sources from the 'Month Name' comparisons, the 'Bull Judging' investigations, and other potential hot spots. The rest of the zodiac sequence needs to be similarly rated like Taurus. A lot of that info, like Sagittarius, is in prior discussions but not organized. Then the "best" provenance for each of the zodiac months could be overlaid together to see what that result might be.

  So far, all the best results I've had in similar projects have been in Google drive spreadsheets, so I think I will try this first. I'm thinking one file with a sheet for each section of the MS. I will try to set something up today.

  I used Gemini (  ) to write a script to import small versions of my Voynich folder into a spreadsheet. The following is just a quick concept, but if it works, we can use it as a starting point:

  Notice that I added a few columns. One is to paste in an image of the parallel. Next, an optional brief description of the parallel (e.g. MS name). 
  
  Then a column for the name of the person who first discussed the parallel. I find this important, since we don't want to parasitically drain the web without references. Of course, since Voynich research goes in cycles, this column can just be updated when it turns out the Ellie Velinska or JK Petersen already wrote about this 15 years ago.
  
  Then a link to the parallel (e.g. to the manuscript scan) and a link to any relevant discussion, publication or blog post, if applicable.
  
  When there are several parallels for a page, a row can be added underneath.
