2. nonsense text with crosses
3. final instructions in vernacular
Bonus "verbren" imperative!

Hypothesis, based on my chat with Katherine: the nonsense cross text is very likely something that should be written down rather than said. If "ubren" in You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. is indeed "verbren", then it is likely the carrier of the written words that should be burnt. -

Register or Login to view. again, ix and Marix could be greek .. ix is an abbreviation of Jesus, and Marix might be Marie but adding x just to make it rhyme .. the A word could be the same as in your picture..Anamzapton (Ananizapta): This is a very famous medieval magical word. So I’m rarely on this forum anymore for obvious reasons, but I watched and responded to this interview on my free/accessible pubs. Two of my comments below the YouTube interview video were removed without reason and my account on TikTok has been regularly suppressed since. I was mainly responding to the noticeable gap in general understanding (of the interviewer and interviewee) when it comes to the meaning/significance of the cross itself. My translation supports the idea that the cross is referring to “AILM” in Ogham. And the charm serving as a form of security, due to the medical nature of the text.. the risk of danger and/or exposure the charm is serving as a “honeypot” and as a block for certain readers. (The German reading intended to lure the superficial readers/the malicious and for blocking the superstitious and “god-fearing”)
In terms of moderation of this forum, it does seem to be compromised when one main moderator is also making popular and largely biased content on large platforms. And by largely biased, I mean this individual has their own theory they want to prove and excludes a lot of historical influences of the time. It brings to question the intent of the forum, the possible extractive nature of it, especially when so many of its regular users are using llms/ai and also participating in documented harassment/suppression off the forum.
Just some thoughts here, no accusations. -

Hi Doireann, I never delete comments on YouTube, not even ones that feel like harassment. But it's a known issue among YouTube commenters that the system sometimes removes them automatically, especially, but not exclusively, when they contain links. -

In charms "x" or "x - with a little r shape above" was generally "Christus" from the first letter of the Greek spelling. There might be "ix" too, but I think x is more normal from what I've seen. Or IHS.
It's funny (and worrying) how quickly you pick up on what stuff means in charms, and if 10 minutes into "charm school" I know what "In . n . p . et . f . et . ss . a ." is and spot it in many places, I wonder what a guy who's completed "charm school" knew..
In regards to "ix" I think the six and VIx (assuming numerals + x "magic") might be "real". I found this (15C) example interesting "recite six Pater Nosters and six Ave Marias 'in honour of the six wounds that Christ suffered on the cross'. The sixth wound may have referred to the wounds on Christ's head, or the lashes on his back"
Anyway, I'm waffling. It was a great video Koen and thanks for reaching out to experts. Lots to ponder

Yes, val8en = valtzen = valzen = falzen (=modern german) (and even paltzn (written in Bavarian, where the v should actually be a p, as I am increasingly assuming) can definitely be interpreted as ‘fold’. I actually think this explanation makes a lot of sense.
P.S. Very good Video. And I'm just glad I posted my theory that the VMS could be full of charms and spells before you uploaded the video
