  I was wondering if there are any specialists on a subject that pertains to the Voynich manuscript whose opinion you think would be useful to have. I am not referring to people from history who are already dead. I am referring to people who are alive now.
  
  This could be a person or persons that you could name or, more generally, a subject for which a specialist opinion would be useful.
  
  As an example, in my research into historical cryptography from the time of the Voynich, I am in touch with specialists in this subject and have found that to be of real use. In addition, I contacted specialists on Medieval Maps, Professor Paul Harvey, and Dr. Catherine Delano Smith to see what their opinion of my map theory on the Rosettes foldout was. They were positive and encouraging about my theory and asked me to write an article about it for their journal on the history of cartography.
  
  I strongly believe in specialist opinion as well as archival research.

  A couple of times I posted Voynich-related questions on ResearchGate, but the yield was nil. I guess those were difficult questions though.

  I think sometimes it helps to try to identify a specific specialist who has worked in some area that one is interested in and then contact them directly. In my experience if they are a specialist in the area you are interested in then they will be more than happy to be of help.
  
  I am not talking about people specialising in the Voynich manuscript, but rather people working in relevant fields to the Voynich. They may never have heard of the Voynich, but they could be a specialist in something like 15th century astrology or 15th century herbal manuscripts or some other relevant field. One doesn't even need to involve them in Voynich research, as such, but rather ask their help in addressing a question relevant to Voynich research as they may be reluctant to be drawn into Voynich research as such.
