The conference isn't until November, so registration isn't open yet. Right now we are working on gathering proposals for presentations. Registration won't open for several months yet. -

Seems like that might be something to add to the message, as it is, it gives the impression that one has missed it.
But i wasn't looking to register. I was looking to see how to submit an abstract.

I hope they will be stringent in the peer-review process. And I hope covid will be truly tamed and other chaos will abate so nothing gets in the way of this conference happening. This could be amazing. -

Lisa (and/or others involved), what is your opinion on submissions about the imagery? Although the list of options is non-exhaustive, the subject of imagery is still conspicuously absent.
Is the conference purposefully focused on linguistics and digital applications because this is the specialization of the organizing professors?
I understand that a lot of nonsense is written about the imagery, and also a lot of things that cannot be mathematically proven. In part this is because the VM imagery attracts its fair share of fantasies. But another factor is that iconography in itself, even about non-VM subjects, is more interpretative than certain other disciplines.
So I wonder if it is at all possible to have a submission about the imagery approved for the conference? I think I have a fairly good idea of what is not desired, but what kind of research on the imagery could be accepted?

Proposed iconography can be verified by historical research and by the investigation of internal details in the VMs illustrations. When structure lies unseen in the illustrations, it's not because the artist failed to create the image. It's because the investigator cannot recognize the things that can be seen.
Ask a linguist to identify a nebuly line.
