Different parchment color through Herbal section?
#20
Here look, this chart shows the yellowness difference between the two sheets on the same interior face.  You would expect this yellowness to scale according to the level of exposure. It should be a marker for binding order, because the ordering will determine how far apart they get separated.

In the binding order, the first several bifolia are striclty positive. This means the A side is more yellow than the B side, consistent with it being closer to the front and getting more exposure.

But look what happens, at about bifolio 20, the values sharply diverge, with many going negative. This means the page further back in the current binding order, is more yellow than its A side that appears earlier-- this is very odd and implies these may have had been exposed or ordered differently at some point.

The 2nd chart shows the Path 1 order, which shows the odd negative cases are limited to the first few herbal A, and Herbal B, with bio and stars alternating positive negative.

To me, this looks like it captures some sort of a change in binding order. For the yellowing to be reversed, i think it must mean that these must have spent some time in an alternate configuration that exposed more surfaces to air.

Maybe the odd reverse exposure is even what led them to move the binding of the 3 'negative' herbal A bifolia alongside the herbal B.
