Register or Login to view.Using the new toolkit i shared in the tools section, I was able to correct for page distortion and off angle text, and a striking picture emerges, that is different for the two Herbal sections.Nice images!
Using my high-powered pareidolioscope, I would say that the Herbal-A pages are of two types. Type A-1 (e.g. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. and f3v) has the plant flush against the right margin, with the text is mostly to the left of it, possibly with some bits in whatever spaces are left on the right. Type A-2 (e.g. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. and f8v) has the plant deliberately centered, and the text divided more or less equally between the two sides.
Type A-1 must be responsible for the asymmetric text heat map. Type A-2 is like the dominant style of Herbal-B.
However there does not seem to be a sharp distinction between the two styles. There seem to be A-1 style pages in the middle of Herbal-B too. It s more a difference in percentages...

The thing that I thought was most interesting is how square of a border the gaps make in herbal A, below the first paragraph.
The golf herbal A groups actually do seperate the plant positions in Herbal A, close to how you describe.
The 1a section. Has the widest range for illustrations. 1b starts to shrink towards the middle, and 1.5a is almost all the way to the right.
Herbal B does tend to have more words per line than Herbal A, it seems like the “production area” for the text in B is a wider area. The increase in words per line is something like a 2:3 ratio, isn’t it? 2.5:3?
