When you were offered the parchment, you did not recognize it as related to the Voynich manuscript, correct? And you certainly didn't know the names of all the people that were connected to its provenance. So is it possible that the other documents with the parchment would have connected it to the line of provenance, but you had no way of knowing at the time? Do you have any image of these documents left, or anything more concrete?
You say the parchment was found in a piece of furniture from a sacristy, so it was presumably kept by a church. Was this from Narni, or could the furniture have been brought to the Narni antiques market from anywhere?
I had no problem answering any questions. Among the documents shown to me in 2013, I recognized the parchment as a drawing from the Voynich manuscript, but all the information that followed came from researching the history of the Voynich manuscript. When I purchased it, my knowledge of the manuscript was limited to the curiosity of a few articles I'd read online about mysterious books.
The documents in the photos were a miscellany of property deeds, inheritances, notarial deeds, and boundary divisions, some with very simple and technical drawings. There were about a dozen papers and parchments with prominent dates, written in large numbers, and especially the seals, to the point that it seemed to me more a collection of seals than anything else. The dates, as far as I remember, ranged from the 17th to the 19th century. Apart from that small sheet, nothing else struck me. No, I no longer have the images.
In hindsight, it would have been better to keep them, but everything came later.
I didn't ask where the "madia" found at the antiques market in Narni, came from. I don't know anything about furniture, and I've never been interested in it.
