A trail of quatrefoils

They seem to be just text markers that occur mainly in the 9-10 o'clock position, consisting of  1 or 2 lines or sometimes a more elaborate design ( your quatrefoils ? ).

But who knows? You may discover something. Let us see what you can come up with.
