Continuing the subject of calendars, here are the two calendars (essentially it is one and the same calendar) featuring consistently 30-day months: the You are not allowed to view links. To compensate for the discrepancy between 30x12 = 360 and the 365, the additional "small" month is inserted in the end of the year. Hence, these calendars have 13 months in a year. However, the beginning of the year in the Coptic and Ethiopian calendars falls on the end of August of the Julian calendar. Thus, it does not look like the VMS charts were modeled after these calendars.
However, this shows that the concept of months which are systematically 30-day is something established and not purely hypothetical.
