Flushing out a language from the Voynich Manuscript - Saturn - 23-08-2017 ![]() My name is Matt and this script has to be Latin, yes the gallows with the bench is strange, but that is, because its in cipher. Now I don't wish to release my cipher until we agree that you and your crew don't beat me up too bad here because its my life's work. You see the {oe} in voynich that's Latin for{ ei }= and its { to, they } in English Now if you wish to understand the cipher then post a reply! ![]() RE: Flushing out a language from the Voynich Manuscript - Koen G - 23-08-2017 I wish to understand the cipher. RE: Flushing out a language from the Voynich Manuscript - Paris - 23-08-2017 Hello Saturn, If you have already read all the posts, you can be sure that nobody beat nobody here. We all studied Voynich manuscript and have our personal ideas. We don't always agree with the others but we respect them, even if their ideas are bizarre. But, it's not the case of you idea with this manuscript written in latin. Latin is very often mentioned as the idiom of Voynich manuscript, as welll as english, french, italian and so on.. Personnaly, I don't think it's written in latin. I don't know which idiom has been used but it can't be latin. If my statistical data of this manuscript are correct, the average of a word is between 4.2 and 4.3 letters. My basic knowledge of this idiom (latin) allow me to affirm that Voynich manuscript has not been written in latin. Latin words are longer than 4.2 letters. Of course, there are words with few letters, but this is an average. I hope you understood me. Anyway, I can change my mind. Not easily, but with excellent arguments. As you wish, Saturn...
