RE: Would a NEW Voynich Manuscript be valuable? - Bluetoes101 - 16-01-2026 On "Wife swap" In April, 1587, while they were at Trobona, a naked woman, in an apparition described by Kelly, directed the 'Skryer' and his master to use "their two wives in common.' on." Kelly convinced Dee of the bonafides of the spirit, and after some hesitation, a solemn covenant was drawn up in accordance with the direction between Doctor Dee, Kelly, Jane Dee, and Joan Kelly, "as the third part of the 'Faithful Relation' testifies." From what I gather, Dee did not suspect Kelly of fabricating this, but the act drove a wedge between their relationship and was one of many reasons Dee started to distance himself from Kelly. |
