The way your arguments link things is random and can be expanded effortlessly to link anything with anything: pipes = moral decay (of course, what else could they be?), "music and entertainment (represented by marginalia)" because? If these are your ideas, they are not better than IA slop.

I want to respond to nablator's comment regarding 'Islamic propaganda'. It is very disappointing to see you bring religion into a scholarly discussion in a negative way. I have not insulted anyone's faith, nor did I claim the manuscript belongs to any specific religion.
I respect everyone's religion, not just my own. I would be happy if the solution to this manuscript comes from anyone, regardless of their faith, because research and knowledge belong to everyone. We are all seekers of truth.
