  2. f18v Aquilegia (Columbine) with the 5 holes in the center?
  3. f27 Erigeron (Fleabane) with it growing from just a piece of root?
  4. f28r Equisetum (Horsetail) with the whorl and the strange head(s)
  5. f29r Sorrel Strawberry, it's like a recipe! Nowadays it's usually more like Strawberry Rhubarb, same flavor profile.

  7. f36v Galium (Cleavers, Bedstraw) this would be my alternate for looking most like what it might portray

Erigeron has the problem of being mostly a North American genus. I can't say if there were Erigeron species native to Europe, but the most common Erigeron one can find in Europe nowadays (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.) is an invasive from North America.

For f28r, rather than Equisetum it looks to me more like You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. , at least the leaves have some resemblance (while they're totally different in Equisetum), or of a mix of the two. But there remains the problem of the triple inflorescence, and of the added dangling thing on top.

Erigeron atticus is a European species of flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. It is native to France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, the former Yugoslavia, Hungary, and Romania.[2][3][4]

I admit I didn't research this very deeply but was happy to find at least a few that would fit the bill. I am so used to so many of our ubiquitous weeds originating in Europe that I forget we actually do have some native species. Have several Erigeron in my yard.

Ophioglossum, I was looking at those too. But there is no whorl per se, I could forgive drawing it fat instead of skinny, and thought perhaps they drew triple inflorescence and single whorl instead of multi whorls...not everything is as it seems. Equisetum sylvaticum is interesting.

Or does it look like this...tends to look like a ball of flowers...flowers can look 3 pronged from certain angles...attracts cats, mine was always flat because the feral cats would come and lay in it.
