This image (late 15thC, Venetian?) reminded me a bit of the figures in one of the diagrams on the recto of the Rosettes foldout. Especially the "pyramid of scallops" motif that occurs in several sections of the VM. In the Venetian MS, this may be dismissed as a purely decorative motif used around an initial (E), but it seems to me that the choice is not random.

The scene illustrates Rev. 16:1 "Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go, pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.”"

The phrase "God's wrath" recalls an earlier verse, Rev. 14:19 "And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God."

So here, the decorative motif quite clearly refers to grapes.

Cool find Smile , in regards to the bottom left image, it looks like where you would expect the usual "blowing heads"(?) of the winds. But piles of rocks don't blow wind..
If I ever escape "vessel research prison" I'm really interested in the drawer(s) use of lines and dots, and what they mean (to them). Maybe it would help untangle some meanings if we could get sort of close. I think it could do with a better understanding and is worthy of effort either way.

R. Sale, I bet you've never seen a cloudband construction like this before:

The multiplicity of pathways is certainly unique AFAIK, but the internal patterning of the bands looks pretty standard.

There are a lot of "possibly" and "(?)" in the Morgan's description - definitely not a normal image.
They call the band a "polylobed frame possibly of rope or cord."

Yeah, I was wondering about that and the knot. After a bit, it sort of clicked: Cordeliers

<It helps if I get the correct reference.>

Interestingly, they also pop up in the effigies.

@Koen
Where is the illustration with the naked figure you posted above from?

Second guessing myself, wearing both a belt and suspenders. Are the central figures more indicative of Mariology? Meaning this would be the girdle of the Virgin?

Whatever it is, it's not like any "wolkenband" I've ever seen. Nice nebuly lines, esp. lower left.
