RE: Thread for random remarks and questions about Voynich images - nablator - 07-01-2025 Bottom fish has a slightly open mouth, the upward curvature of the snout is similar on its VM counterpart. RE: Thread for random remarks and questions about Voynich images - Koen G - 07-01-2025 Yes! The bottom fish has an upturned snout. This is only found in some manuscripts, but it's definitely a "thing". (That's not the special thing I found, I'm about to post that now). RE: Thread for random remarks and questions about Voynich images - R. Sale - 07-01-2025 How about the bottom one is 'happy'. The top one is 'sad'. A parody of the masks of Comedy and Tragedy. . RE: Thread for random remarks and questions about Voynich images - Bluetoes101 - 07-01-2025 I know it's not what you were referring to but would be interesting if these were intentional spots on the face of 1 of the 2 fish, you see the same in the VM Probably just marks on page/bleed from text on reverse.. but whoever did the VM image took some time to add a fair few spots on the top fish and didn't bother with the below, seems intentional. Trout/Salmon for example (among others) have sexual dimorphism which causes more vivid spots on the males but not females.. just an idea ![]() RE: Thread for random remarks and questions about Voynich images - Aga Tentakulus - 07-01-2025 @Koen Do you still have the link to your fish example? I would like to read the text. RE: Thread for random remarks and questions about Voynich images - Koen G - 07-01-2025 (07-01-2025, 10:08 PM)Aga Tentakulus Wrote: You are not allowed to view links.
