There are no other instances of such a thing occurring in other contemporary manuscripts. But I found one with a double lobster: It's the only example to my knowledge where two lobsters appear so close to one another. Here is the source: You are not allowed to view links. RE: Double lobster - pjburkshire - 21-02-2026 Maybe the lower red one is the real one and the upper light one (and attached by a string) is a spiritual one. The Voynich Manuscript does seem to be unique in a lot of ways. The way I see it, the entire storyline of the Voynich Manuscript is about how life (or spirit essence) begins in the spiritual world and transfers to the physical world. Why is the upper crustacean only red at the head and front claws? RE: Double lobster - JustAnotherTheory - 21-02-2026 Cause the red paint faded? Any ideas why one would duplicate crayfish? I thought duplication was reserved for twins, or fish. Furthermore, in the VMS, it appears that the lobsters are connected to each other through their mouths, which is a unique feature of Pisces. Doesn't seem logical. Intentional mistake or just pure scribal incompetence? |
