The attached image hints at the possibility that the scribe inadvertently revealed in folio 70v (Pisces) that '8' is in fact 'd'.

Attached is an image from the "Book of hours" to see how the letter 'd' was written during the 15th century.

The top loop is actually closed, but the ink is faint.
The scribe had problems regulating the ink flow, it happens often.

In my thread "Missing Constellations" I had explained that foil57v is Waterman or "Vadol".
Not only this symbol is read falsely, but others too.

Well, we don't even need other books, there is this shape from f116v, which is usually interpreted as 'd', as far as I know.
EVA d does look like latin d, I suppose this is exactly the reason why letter d was assigned for this symbol in EVA. However, I'm not sure the image from 70v gives us any new clues here. Regardless of whether the upper loop of d is closed there or not. Voynichese is highly irregular when it comes to glyph shapes, so this could be a weird EVA d, with a broken loop, with a faint big loop, etc.
