So I was wondering the other day whether the folio 116v could possibly represent the ownership of the manuscript, i.e., a German person who owned it and signed it with their name. By total coincidence, I found a 15th century German noble family, the Paxlebens, who lived in a city in Pomerania called Mechetin. While this noble family is extinct today (no more male heirs since a few hundred years), I found references to it in several old German repositories of nobles (Adelsgeschicht):

This is a funny coincidence because in the folio 116v of the VMS we see what appears to be the words "poxleber" and "michiton":

Could it be that "poxleber" is "paxleben" and "michiton" is an old medieval form of today's "mechetin"? Note that the town of Mechetin has had several different names over the years, including Mechtentin, Mechenthin, Miechecino, and more.
In the encyclopedia of extinct noble family crests (yes, such a thing exists), we see this:

Some of these elements remind one of the VMS:

But then again, these are cherry picked, so most likely once again a coincidence.
