I SEE DEAD NYMPHS!
Actually, only dead legs. Specifically, on f70v1, inner band, nymph at 12:00:
I think the nymphs have different meanings in different sections. I don't see the nymphs in the zodiac section as being dead. I think they are more like tutelary spirits or guardian angels (junior grade).
But that nymph on You are not allowed to view links.

On some pages of the zodiac, the female figures are housed in tubes, at the beginning of the tubes that we later see in Quire 13. On f78r, fragments of tube with similar decoration are clearly visible. On that folio, the artist wants us to see the fluid, which is why the tube is fragmented.
I don't want to elaborate further because anyone who has read my thread knows my interpretation of these female figures and all this imagery.

On the opposite page we also have Scorpio as a 6 legged crocodile..
Then flicking through, there are a lot of diagrams that look proto Voynich... Bearing in mind this is 14th century, I do wonder if a later copy might be part of the inspiration...

It looks like tub guy is associated with Libra (The scales of justice). I assume he is supposed to be an example of or personification of one of the characteristics that a person born under the Sign of Libra is supposed to have.
The VMs Zodiac is the starting point for various investigations. Regarding the nymphs in tubs, some of the tub patterns have interesting similarities with those used in armorial heraldry.
The guy in the barrel is treading grapes, which is what was done during the time of the sign of Libra (September-October).
I counted the zodiac nymphs. There seems to be a nymph missing on f70v2 Pisces. I've counted multiple times and I only get 29. Is there a nymph hiding somewhere that I am missing?

No. Maybe she was eaten by a fish and only the label remained.
