I see two or three potential winners here, curious to see which one will come out on top.
No. 4 has the most interesting roots. The structure of the rest of the plant can be compared well with plants in Dioscorides Materia Medica (see You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. No.2).
I'm still doubting between 4 and 5.

No. 4 is probably one of the most interesting parts of the MS from the perspective of art history. The threedimensionality created by the little hanging flower in the back harkens back to the lifelike depictions of plants in antiquity. But might also look forward to late/post-medieval developments. It's presence in the VM is fascinating.

I'm quite fond of the overall composition of 5 though, which has several anomalies of its own. So I'll vote for this one.
This group has more winners than the two previous groups.
My (unlikely?) vote is clear though: 6.
I only feel sure on my least favourite, 7.. this ones difficult

6 also has a lot going for it. I find the way the root mirrors the shape of the leaves very interesting. And of course the double row of extra glyphs, but I guess that's not really about the plant Smile
Is no.3 the only time a leaf runs through the middle of a flower? I don't recall seeing it before, at least not like this.. also what is a leaf even doing there..

I'm going for 3, I have a soft spot for weirdos
