Not only based on their number, but also on the uniqueness of the partially arcaded tub pattern as <another intentionally ambiguous> reference to the Muses illustration in Pizan's Book of the Queen?

I see no connection to the Muses. I see no significance in the number of nine. Nine is probably only how many fit on the page.

It looks like I need to make a v. 1.1. I have reviewed Quire 14 and I think f86v5_f86v3 should be read after the big Rosettes foldout. I no longer think f86v3 has to do with Judgment Day. It may be a kind of Epilogue. I now think it has to do with male/female. Just what about male/female I still don't know.

The word "ychedy" is reported on voynichese.com as:

ychedy
13 matches, in f81r, f86v3, f86v5 and 7 other folios.

It is reported twice on f86v3.

It is reported on You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. near a nymph that I don't know what she is doing.

It is reported on You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. near the nymph with what looks like a wedding ring.

It is reported twice on f85r1 which is a text only page.

It is reported on f86v5 which is a text only page.

It is also reported on You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. which is a plant page. If the word means "ring", maybe it is talking about the leaves of the plant making a ring around the stem of the plant.
v. 1.1 has been uploaded with the change to f86v3.

Another situation to be considered is the unusual, specific nature of VMs Gemini. In classical mythology it's the whole Castor and Pollux thing. Then, somewhere along the line, it becomes a male and female depiction. Some have suggested May is spring, and the medieval tradition of courtly love. Given the frequent, modest nudity of the couple, they are potentially interpreted as Adam and Eve.

The specificities of the VMs Gemini are 1) it is male and female, 2) the figures are clothed, 3) they've got the hand jive. They are going for that double hand clasp, that is part of medieval marriage ceremonies. VMs Gemini is not twins; it is not Adam and Eve; it is a marriage. Of all possibilities, one of the least likely representations. Of all possibilities, the one most relevant to the perceived "process of ensoulment".
What is a mystery to me is the gender thing. If it was 40 days for a male but 80 days for a female, does that mean that the nymphs had to know from the start of the preparation process if they were making preparations for a male or female? Or is that a question people were not supposed to ask? It's magic, don't worry about it. God, angels, nymphs will take care of it.

That cannon-looking thing on You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. on the left may be a nymph making some kind of spiritual announcement to Heaven that their job has been completed and that the body of the mother-to-be is ready to receive the new baby soul. But there is still that male-40-days/female-80-days problem. I don't know. I looked at the words "orol dain" that are on the cannon-looking thing on voynichese.com but I couldn't make heads-or-tails of anything.

"orol dain" ?? order done ??

That nymph sure looks to me like a woman about to give birth.

Possible. A good argument with the second, helping person.
Consider the whole pool though. It looks more like an aquatic martial arts session than a birthing facility.

You are going to like my next idea even less.
