@Rene
I have to ask a quick question.
Have you now also considered variants 1 +2 in the newer edition?
You did it for the one character.
Since the (hooks) are actually used in many places.
This points to a certain system. But that is a different topic.
This alphabet distinguishes all variations that have been noted by Glen Claston, by Gabriel Landini and myself. However, there will be others that are not included or distinguished.
Of the first three clips you included, the first and second are distinguished, but the third (with the red nr. 2) is considered the same as the first (with the red nr. 1)
All the others are covered, but if the horizontal bar extends a little bit to the left, this is not considered a difference. All past transliterations had to draw a line somewhere, and this must also be true for any new, on-going efforts.
Hope that the corrected system will smooth out the waves a bit.
Above all, I am curious about the differences between the new and old system and the comparison between the different languages.
I'll wait and see what the trials and the future bring here.
Thank you.
Not sure if this is a good place to report this, but today my software fell over because there are two words on f1r, of which the XML files of voynichese.com indicate that their width is 0.
These are:
Quote:<word index="152" x="252" y="890" width="0" height="22">chey</word>
<word index="160" x="359" y="1000" width="0" height="27">chol</word>
The attached screenshot shows the second word at the top of the paragraph.

Yes, and there are also many other zero-width words.
Another issue is that some words have as if correct coordinates, but folios are cut, so these words are not visible (see You are not allowed to view links.
Register or
Login to view. and search for oteeod, for example: this word is on the right of the border).
Another issue is that some words are missing: search "*" and it can be clearly seen that the whole line is missing in f106r.
Another issue is that some word rectangles overlap, especially in circle diagrams. So certain words are hardly clickable/tappable (see interesting situation with first two words in f8r; the zero-width issue also applies here).
Indeed, there are several types of issues, and this is not a criticism of course.
Many are simply inherited from the source transliteration which is incomplete.
There is some text that is visible in one set of scans and not in the other.
All unreadable characters in Takeshi's transliteration were removed which in a few cases
means that an entire (unreadable) word is missing.
Then there is also the 'funny' case of f102r2:

The three words at the top, after removal of the asterisks, become:
Quote:dedloy
osal
ralr
and they are no longer recognisable against the image.
I am relatively sure that they belong to the bottom container, but we can search for them in
voynichese.com and their boxes point to empty vellum.
While doing some double-checking, I got really confused by the Jason Davis voyager image of You are not allowed to view links.

This is the libra page, and the image is the original scan of 2004 made at the Beinecke.
The text on the left outer ring looks nothing like the transliterations, or should that be the other way 'round?
What happens here is that the bit on the left is not just the end of the page curling a bit.
This is actually the left end of You are not allowed to view links.

The creator of voynichese.com noticed this as well, and made sure that the word boxes are outside the visible area, and marked up very thin ( You are not allowed to view links.

Hi ReneZ,
In the matching plants comments of the ZL transliteration:
You are not allowed to view links.
Register or
Login to view. should be: Same plant as f102r2[3,2], not f102r2[3,1].
You are not allowed to view links.
Register or
Login to view. should be: Same plant as f89v2[1,4], not f89v[1,4].
f90v2 should be: Same plant as f100v[2,2], not f100r[1,3].
Thanks, indeed I was going to take a look in the next days.
These are noted!
Actually, I was thinking not so much of the transliteration comments, but more of the matches indicated in the page descriptions of Quires 15 and 19 (which are generally way out of date).
