Examination of the actual glyphs reveals three potential systemic interpretations based on their forms, where each system is also affirmed by particular structural or positional factors.
Greek is alphanumeric: omega x x x lambda
Medieval numerical: x 4 x x 7 [Typus Arithmetica]
Roman numerals: x x x x 5 [inverted in position five]
Do these three numerical interpretations make a workable system?
I've noticed that you've posted this observation previously. I investigated it at the time. As you say, there is a coincidence of three different numerical systems which must count against it being accidental. Does it make a workable system of alphanumerics? On any reading, the glyph and symbol sequences on You are not allowed to view links.

As Hermes says, the script is a notation system arranged like a linguistic text. I believe that this is so because it is about representing the astral influence on the herbs and that requires finding an appropriate means of communication. With the use of visual symbols and some numbers the author or authors try to use a scientific language, which in the mentality of the time is equivalent to saying a magical language.
The Voynich is above all an astrological book. It is not a herbal nor a cosmological book. It is an attempt to unite both things.

Antonio, it is well good with text and symbols and astrology.
To exclude the text means to make it like brainless robot.
The herbs are explained with their usage. Otherwise why are the letters around them?
The Zodiac is also explained.
The pharmacy - too.
Merely the wise man knew much more, than we do today... In his days maybe he was merely a healer, but for us he is a Magician, because of the bunch of knowledge he possessed.
Letters around the herbs? Do you see letters? I only see strange glyphs. This is precisely a key issue and will be for a long time. It starts from a presumption that is just a prejudice. And any transliteration of the glyphs into letters of an alphabet is a willful exercise that destroys fundamental features of the script.

Antonio, I do see letters and no strange glyphs. I have translated some words from here and there.
But the wise man is so tricky and knowledgeable, that I feel unable to understand everything. This is why I am here to find some people with more understanding to help go on. Otherwise I will give up... I can understand there is hard work ahead and I have no strength enough to untie completely the Gordon knot.

Bess, I honestly don't know if you're serious or joking. Have you really translated some words? What words, in what language?

Antonio, I am deadly serious.
But I was a patent specialist and as a rule very cautious in disclosing novelty.
On Malta conference I have suggested the translation of f116v. Nobody was interested.
Now I have suggested to Koen to reveal it in a talk. Let see if here somebody will show interest.
Of course it is not only the last foil (which is not with the typical alphabet of the rest of the foils), I have a translation of.
I have something from F1v, F1r, and some other foils... My problem is that I do not understand the whole text , but only some row.
On the foils with plants it is clearly explanation against which deceases are they. On some of them there is a name, on others - not... But as I said not everything is understandable.
P.S.: According patent law, if you reveal the novelty on a web page it is not protected against plagiarism.
I could disclose it on a conference or to two people
Well, I am convinced of what I say and I don't care if they plagiarize me. I'm only interested in the truth

That isn't a fair comment. All contributions were reviewed attentively by three reviewers.
