I can see why she proposes it over the Paris though. Lilium also has leaf whorls, and the bud looks quite similar to the calyx (?) of the VM flower. However, the orientation of the flower does not match - as is often the case, it looks more rigid and outstretched in the VM. There is also no clear match for the upper structures, but good luck finding those anywhere. However insufficient, it still beats the Paris, in my opinion.
