Does a list or glossary of all vords exists? - BerndB81 - 07-08-2025

Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum but not new to the VM. I see everyvere some interesting stats but I wonder if there is a complete list of all vords in the VM and where they appeare. I can't find one and I think it would be helpfull. Especially to test the Naibbe cipher.

Best regards,
Bernd

See
.xlsx   Σwords in ZL transcription.xlsx (Size: 106.2 KB / Downloads: 35)

Does depend on what you define a word to be, and based on transcription (and error correction).

Regards,

A.

You can also generate the list yourself and conduct a bunch of analytics using open-access resources like You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.

Go to voynich.nu  >> Text Analysis - Transliteration of the Text  >  Location of main transliteration resources.
You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.

and download the transliteration file of your choice then you can use find in a decent text editor.
"RF.  A "Reference" transliteration.  basic    ::  { RF1b-er.txt }  would probably best suit your needs.

And of course there is voynichese.com ( that uses the Takahasi Transcription ).

A concordance for the VMS is available here: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.

Thank you all. I think the first one is the list I was looking for. I want to sort it alphabetically and see if any patterns emerge.
