We have on 116v a little of, I call it fantasy Latin. If I encrypt that and extrapolate it to the rest of the VM, we have more than one problem.
If the normal text cannot be read correctly, how is that supposed to work for the rest?

In order to understand the Alemanic a little better, one should have a look at it.
You should also have a look at it in other cities like Basel, Bern, Zurich, St.Gallen.
I don't know how the English translator will behave.

Maybe I was a little vague.
In order to show the difference between the old spelling and the modern German, it is necessary to see the grammar and sentence order. I don't think English speakers would understand it otherwise. Even Germans have trouble understanding the Alemannic. The text itself is uninteresting.

These are minor corrections, so it's not a criticism, it's just to help people interpret the letters correctly.

Aga, look at the d, there is an apostrophe to the right of it:
Also, look at the two minims after the long-ess. It is "u", not "i". It is not a dot for an "i". It is two dots. They had two kinds of "umlaut" in old German. The one that sounds like the modern umlaut and the one that sounds like "oo" like in Swiss "joor" which they sometimes wrote jür but pronounced joor (I jokingly think of them as umlaut and "oolaut"
). I see both of them very frequently.I'm pretty certain what is written is besünd'lich (besünd[er]lich). I think it means "especially" in old German?

Anyway....
I haven't thought about a complex encryption system in the VM for a long time. When I look at page 116v , and the German text in the VM. The possible dialect Latin and the possible spelling, like wrongly separated or wrongly written together words and still the spelling. As well as special expressions of names or things.
Today I am convinced that the author was able to implement his encryption in his head in a simple way.
Certainly no M.... -Code
