Grolier Club lecture on VMS in NYC - LisaFaginDavis - 13-03-2020

Hi, everyone,

Here's the lecture I gave at The Grolier Club last week. Some of this may be new to some of you...at any rate, I hope you enjoy it!

Funny how the speaker who introduces you gets a knowing laugh when he says "something a little different".
Your talk mentions many things I didn't know yet. Thank you for sharing!

It's a shame though that so many theorists pester people like those at the Grolier Club library and all manner of specialists in general. This makes communication really hard for researchers like us without academic credentials. It is clear in the questions section that they are wary of the average Voynich researcher (and probably have plenty of reasons for that).

A fun talk of yours Lisa. I like the way you defend that the VM is genuine and not a fake or hoax.

I don't like it so much that you think of the nice naked figures as women. I think it has been a huge impediment to advancing the investigation. I am not an expert in iconology. I just follow Panofsky's opinion that they are astral spirits, which is something that fits better with the VM as a whole.

In general however the talk is very interesting
