Actually, there are so many doubts that we are not even sure that there is anything meaningful in the whole manuscript. I think that skepticism is the best approach, given how little we understand of the structure of Voynichese.

That is, unless the VM text is number-heavy, or "words" can double as numbers.

What argues against coordinates for me is the fact that the stars are spaced rather evenly. These are not the kinds of diagrams where I would expect exact coordinates to be of much importance.

Morphologically, star labels are not too different from Voynichese paragraph "words": this also is not in favor of the idea that they are coordinates (or numbers).

Scientific ideas go through three stages:
1) bullshit!
2) harm!
3) we thought exactly that from the beginning.
Let's wait for the third stage.
