Yes, although it's in a dead simple one-to-one substitution code that one can crack and learn to write in about 20 minutes.

Yes, this illustrates my actual point. If a ciphertext were book length, it will be something one can learn how to read and write fluently. This is simply impossible with an Alberti cipher. The more complex the method,  the less likely its having been used in the VM.

Additionally, as mentioned before in this thread, it is simply impossible to generate VM paragraphs with an Alberti cipher. The whole poimt of a cipher like that is to make your text look like random letters, scrambled. The Voynich on the other hand, looks much less scrambled than a normal text.

So for the VM we are looking at a method which maintains or decreases entropy. A proper Alberti cipher will always increase entropy because of the shifting alphabet.
