It also is the closest in terms of green with blue window. But i am not sure what this would mean, if this were the reference therefor.

In my interpretation this one is tentatively the Sea of Marmora, which has a complex salinity/fresh water exchange with the black sea. However it is the more saline water that stays in its place at the bottom so it doesnt quite work out with the blue being at the bottom. But they may not have known that, while still knowing there were levels of differing salinity... I also thought it might indicate submerged architecture. 

Is that the one you were thinking of?
