RE: Voynich Reconsidered - Mark Knowles - 17-10-2023 It feels like this book is going to be more spectacular than the Voynich itself; it certainly seems to have taken longer in the production and to be greater in the cost. For comparison, I see that D. B. Cooper and Flight 305 -- also a Schiffer imprint -- is priced at $22.99 new in hardcover, although it's a little shorter than the Voynich book (264 pages as opposed to 336). But $50 isn't all that unusual for a hardcover book on a niche topic from a big commercial publisher, even if it's more than many forum participants might be comfortable spending on such things. Also for comparison, the cheapest copy of The Curse of the Voynich I see available from any online dealer at the moment is $55. Both as an author and a reader, I'm grateful that the price of the Malta conference proceedings puts them within such easy reach of anyone who's interested in them. Used and the book is out of print: not comparable. RE: Voynich Reconsidered - Mark Knowles - 18-10-2023 (18-10-2023, 04:50 PM)nablator Wrote: You are not allowed to view links.
