No, I don't think so. If the zodiac is truly representative of a certain time period, that time period should end up having higher scores on average. Someone in 1425AD could have had access to, and copied from, manuscripts from the 1200s and 1300s, and manuscripts from the 1500s may have copied from manuscripts from 1425.
So we shouldn't assume what is or is not relevant; the data should lead us agnostically to those answers.

I wonder how people would put on those blouses (like the white one on the young man at right):
- The collars were actually wider than what is shown.
- The shirts were split and fastened in the back (like the green one at right) including the collar.
- The collars were knitted with an elastic weave.
- They put them on as babies and never took them off.
- Medieval sorcery.

The last one... took a while to add. That manuscript actually has 5 virgos, 4 taurus, 3 leos, as well as many multiple for all of the others. Great find! It may be able to shine some light on the different traditions at play here, if anyone is able to read the text.

Found a couple of nice virgo's from this manuscript:

Both seem to be 2 versions of the same depiction: the setting, the blue dress half kneeling, the flower and the undergarment/neck areas all seem to be almost the same. If you were to take a mix of the details of these two, it would score very highly indeed.
The terrain on both -but particularly the second- stand out to me. If you were to crop the right image, there is a single flower with a tuft of grass in the right place. The facing angle of the body is also about right. The main things missing from these examples are a blue hat and long sleeves.
Actually, if you crop the second example to roughly the scale of the VMS, the held flower somewhat matches the star, the terrain flowers match, and the flick at the end of the dress actually somewhat lines up with the leaf of the plant behind. But that last point is almost certainly a coincidence.

I would agree that the star hold by the woman in Virgo picture in VM was almost certainly a flower in its original inspiration, whatever it was.

That is the star sign gemini. The header at the top says "twins" (zwillinge)
