Certainly. Thankyou for answering the questions. Yes, by saying "advanced tech" I was referring to technology that was beyond the normal technology of the times.
On an uneven vellum surface, the blobs will smudge into different shapes. Your assumption that blobs must be rough and rounded is understandable but incorrect.
You confirm that you believe the dots were drawn with "advanced for the middle ages" technology. If this was the case, I think all of the dots would resemble letters and that they would be clear and legible. Unfortunately, this is not the case as you also confirm. Why aren't they all clear? These dots look as if all of them were written with "normal for the middle ages" technology (That is why I asked).
As for your questions:

-I do not know whether he was an ordinary healer or experienced alchemist
-If he was an experienced alchemist, he was an experienced alchemist in the late 16th century/ early 17th century. This is quite a long time after the supposed authoring of the VM (100+ years after)
-Jacobi Tepenecz also owned and signed other works that he collected during his lifetime, suggesting that his signature on a manuscript does not imply his authorship of that manuscript.

Since it seems that you can read some Slavic languages, some of the references on the first page could be of interest for you.
Of course, the handwriting in the Voynich MS (also the marginalia) and the handwriting of Tepenec (and all his contemporaries) have nothing in common. There is at least a century and a half between these.

Then it's not right at all. The leaves are not right. But you will find them correctly drawn on other VM plants.
The flower isn't right either. Clearly way off the mark.
The pill nettle is the closest match. Less well known in the north, but already known in the south.
