RE: Observations on the Visual and Functional Structure of the Voynich Manuscript - Typpi - 09-02-2026 What kind of items / buildings would the flow be depicting in the 14/1500s? Anything in particular? RE: Observations on the Visual and Functional Structure of the Voynich Manuscript - JoJo_Jost - 09-02-2026 Well, at least for now, I'm retracting my opinion that it was (solely) generated by AI. It's probably really your own thought process behind it. So, welcome to the forum. And I apologise for my somewhat critical assessment of your post. But it really sounded too much like AI. And I'm still not entirely sure . But the images with the comparison helped.
RE: Observations on the Visual and Functional Structure of the Voynich Manuscript - emanuele.pegorin - 09-02-2026 Replay to ReneZ For f86v, the system I use is centrico-radiale converso. Briefly, it’s like looking at a flower from above, with the petals opening toward the edges. I think this petal-like system is inspired by the botanical theme. For now, I won’t go further. Replay to Typpi According to my observations, these real structures could be external and internal systems to channel water and carry it inside. Replay to JoJo_Jost Thank you so much for your recognition. I’m very open to dialogue and any questions you might have. RE: Observations on the Visual and Functional Structure of the Voynich Manuscript - emanuele.pegorin - 09-02-2026 I am referring specifically to f86v3. A system to collect water outside and bring it inside. Even if the colors were added later, that does not necessarily mean they are incorrect. Warning received. RE: Observations on the Visual and Functional Structure of the Voynich Manuscript - emanuele.pegorin - 09-02-2026 Thanks to everyone for the questions and feedback. Much appreciated. RE: Observations on the Visual and Functional Structure of the Voynich Manuscript - Rafal - 09-02-2026 Why do you assume that f86v3 shows some human made waterworks? A more natural interpretation (at least for me) would be just rain falling from the clouds. See this thread: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. RE: Observations on the Visual and Functional Structure of the Voynich Manuscript - emanuele.pegorin - 09-02-2026 Yes, it could certainly be rainwater being collected into drainage systems. What leads me to think in this direction is the way the water is visually represented. The outflowing water is consistently drawn with vertical lines and small marks suggesting movement, while larger bodies or masses of water are often depicted as cloud-like shapes. This same visual convention for flowing water appears repeatedly in different folios, which makes me think it is intentional rather than generic rainfall. That said, I agree that a natural interpretation is also possible. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. In these four images you can see an example of how a mass of water is consistently represented in the same way, using cloud-like shapes rather than linear flows. |
