Linking Kircher to the creation of the Voynich manuscript is nonsensical.
That tower has the same shape as others in the Rosettes foldout. What sets it apart is that we cannot see its base because it lies far below, an effect the artist intentionally sought to create. If we look closely beyond the wall, there is a tiny tower at the foot of what appears to be a cliff. We see the walls extending down into the abyss, and buildings clinging in the cliff, stacked one above the other.
I interpret this to mean that the artist is aiming for a "hanging" effect to convey a sense of height—of being in the sky—since the Rosettes represent the universe, and Earth, like the celestial bodies, is suspended in space.

I see a patch of yellow paint at the top of the VMs tower. It looks like a flame. Perhaps this represents the Pharos lighthouse.

If you compare to the similar tower with larger yellower roof (above and to the right), you can see it in a way where you do likely see all of the tower, but instead it is the sand dunes or whatever they are, which are disappearing down into the hole, just seen from the front instead of the side. Perhaps fossil dunes? Similar to the one directly above in a similar cutout, except it has no tower on it. Perhaps they are pillars.
Which is interesting to me because I just read something where two islands were called pillars, while reading about fossil sand dunes.

I get that, and I'm sure others do too - and as I and others have suggested before, your searches for images matching VMS ones could definitely be a potentially fruitful avenue of research.
But to determine the likelihood that the VMS tower is Babel, it's surely necessary to compare with other Babel images, don't you think? And in my view, the reasonable match with the Kircher tower doesn't come close to establishing that the VMS tower actually is Babel.
And it's *proof* of absolutely nothing. I suggest you really need to stop thinking of any speculative reasoning based on matching images as "proof". Even after 600 years, there's still zero *proof* of the meaning of any illustrations in the VMS (to the best of my knowledge).

Kircher viewed Babylon as the ultimate symbol of godlessness, pride, and moral decay. Within the Baroque context of Catholic thought, Babylon represented for him not merely a historical city, but a universal archetype of human rebellion against God. The images depict the Tower of Babel, the Hanging Gardens of Semiramis, and a temple dedicated to a pagan god. See the illustration from his book.

One thing is to suggest that the tower is inspired by a depiction of one with a spiral staircase, which is a good idea to explore. Another is to insist that this must have anything to do with Kircher and that Kircher held the heretical belief that humanity managed to complete the biblical Tower of Babel against God's explicit will.

In his book *Turris Babel* (1679), Athanasius Kircher addressed the issue of the Tower of Babel's construction by employing scientific and mathematical evidence to defend the literal interpretation of the Bible, thereby entirely avoiding conflict with the Catholic Church. Rather than challenging Holy Scripture, Kircher demonstrated that the builders' ambition to reach the heavens was physically impossible, thus validating the necessity of divine intervention. Incidentally, the book also examines the lineage of Noah's descendants; out of curiosity, I consulted the index and found a reference to Enoch as Noah's grandfather.

I will try to explain, though it involves axonometry and geometric projection. I am attaching a sketch where you should be able to see how the individual levels (tiers) are arranged in a spiral, one above the other. Incidentally, the story of the Tower of Babel is merely a device used to convey an analogy.
