The problem is the practice. Steal everything humanity has ever produced and turn it into a questionable product.

I wonder how careful they are to put together a proper digital copy. For instance, if the scanner slipped up, you could miss things, or even miss whole pages. Especially if you are doing it for the AI, maybe no one is proofreading. If you destroyed the original, and it is rare, you might never fill in the gaps.
