It's quite interesting though. On the one hand, it's clearly late and stylistically polished. Some strange things happened to it as well, like the vertical compression.
But on the other hand, I'd dare to say that it still shows signs of the older images it derives from, which I would put in the same family as the VM bull.
- facing left
- far front leg raised
- head-neck structure is more like that of a horse (but they thickened the neck already)
- pizzle problems
- tail behind the legs and "forked" at the end
- green terrain with hills

So even though this is late, and the style is clearly late, I would still link it stronger to the VM bulls than many earlier ones.

I would like to see a good geographical plotting (like the merlons map) for each of the VMs zodiac sign comparisons, and then the ability to overlay them all together.

R. Sale: I don't think we're there yet. Much depends on the parameters and the rigor of the investigations. Things like this have been done in the past though, for example by Marco and Darren on Stephen Bax site.
