RE: Evaluation of the project so far. - Koen G - 04-10-2016 I like how things go now in the root figure thread. Chip away at the proposal until an agreeable sentence is left. Would it be a good idea to get rid of the polling altogether and replace it with something like this: - Statement is proposed. - Statement is discussed and changed as many times as required. - When the participants agree, any member apart from the one with negative reputation gets some days (a week?) time to speak against the proposal in the thread. What I really dislike about the voting is that people can vote "no" without any valid argument whatsoever. This while we put quite some effort in trying to get it right for everybody. RE: Evaluation of the project so far. - Anton - 04-10-2016 Quote:Would it be a good idea to get rid of the polling altogether and replace it with something like this: With the poll it's more or less the same thing essentially. The poll should be cast (by Editors) when it's apparent that argumetation has mostly been depleted and there's not much left to say. With regard to your last consideration: I tried to set an example by explaining each of my negative votes. And second to that, false rejection is not as bad as false approval. With the former, the stuff just does not move into the "VMBOK". With the latter, the "VMBOK" gets populated with erroneous statements which is quite the opposite of its very purpose. RE: Evaluation of the project so far. - Anton - 25-10-2016 I created a draft of the actual content thread and pinned it. So far we have only a single statement approved, so it looks a bit bare. RE: Evaluation of the project so far. - Koen G - 25-10-2016 I'm kind of hoping some other members will submit at least one statement, that could get the ball rolling. |
