Certainly, the long-range correlations and line-position effects are elegantly explained in that case, as Timm and Schinner have argued.

Sorry folks, I should have been more clear: that was not a riddle. Do not waste your time trying to solve it. The key feature of a Scientific Discovery Anagram (SDA) is that the solution must be obviously correct once revealed, but must be impossible to obtain before that. If it was possible to solve it, it would defeat its very purpose.

In that case, since we all like a good puzzle and there's evidently no risk of a spoiler, I'll throw this out:
1. My "best guess" unscrambling of ANIMUS NE IDEAS produces a message that would, if true, make sense as a significant Voynichese crib.
2. The anagram VIEW EDEN ABIDE TUNE TREND represents that same message as translated from English into German.
Can you find the solution?
