I play the game (without having strong confidence in my own answers) :
Poll no. 1 : Nature of vords
=> b) Syllables, bigrams, n-grams
Poll no. 2: Nature of the cipher
=> ☑ Something else
I think of some sort of "tokenisation / substitution" system (i don't know proper name for this).
For example :
- the "token" [qok] encode a thing (a latin letter, a syllabe, a sub-word, ...),
- the token [ain] encode another thing,
- the token [aiin] another,
- etc.
