Very unlikely. The U is not specifically Beneventan. The only similarity is the "re" that looks almost like k but the r is lower. Also, the shape of the Beneventan letter 't' (with bow) could possibly be related to the creation of the bench and the benched gallows. The drawing depicts a bird resembling a raven and a seemingly hiding person. RE: Origin of the Shield Shape in the Solar Folio of the f85-86 Foldout - Dobri - 27-04-2025 Attached is one more example of the sideways 'm' (here written at the end of a word) in Beneventan script, see also Fig. 106 in the following source: Rozana Vojvoda, Dalmatian Illuminated Manuscripts Written in Beneventan Script and Benedectine Scriptoria in Zadar, Dubrovnik and Trogir, PhD Dissertation in Medieval Studies, Department of Medieval Studies, Central European University, Budapest, Hungary, April 2011, Available: <https://www.etd.ceu.edu/2011/mphvor01.pdf>. It seems that the second red embellishment in You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. depicts three Beneventan letters, a two-letter ligature and the sideways 'm' in the middle. RE: Origin of the Shield Shape in the Solar Folio of the f85-86 Foldout - Dobri - 27-04-2025 Here is a Beneventan depiction of a symbol combination (in Fig. 200 of the dissertation of Rozana Vojvoda, described as a "g" with the suprascript "o" for ergo) having some similarity (but not identical) with the first symbol in the red embellishment on the right-hand side of You are not allowed to view links.
