If a lot of people think it might be Greek minuscule, but nobody knows it well enough then I could contact an expert on it and see what their opinion is.

If it is Greek minuscule then the archive need to know, because it has been completely misclassified. If it is indeed a cipher then there is still the question of dating. If it is Greek minuscule then presumably some of the Greek should be readable.

If it is in cipher then deciphering it may prove difficult as the text is not long.

The closest I could find to the script here in Greek minuscule was the following:

This is not the same, but there are some similarities.

I must say I hope it is a cipher as if it is then it is of interest whereas if it is Greek minuscule or something else then it is of little interest to my research. Anyway I have emailed somebody who appears to be a specialist in Greek minuscule, so if I am lucky I might hear back from him in the not too distant future.

Of course if it is a cipher the problem of dating it remains.

Meh, apart from the wacky diacritic/abbreviations it seems like unenciphered plain old greek to me.
The last 6 letters look like standard greek:  Chi-Rho-Omega -- Mu-Epsilon-Nu

Well, can you read any of it? If it is Greek it shouldn't be so hard to read.

Nope, my Greek is very ancient and that handwriting is monstrous.

Looks to me that it has some elements from the italo-greek script style, and also something from the Greek tachygraphy.

One of these greek minuscule is very similar to one of rare glyhs of the VM. Any idea of what greek minuscule letter can it be?
