I have purposely not wrote in Ophiuchus or Hercules as I am looking for the most ancient astronomy chart for the Ophiuchus constellation. The Voynich in the upper paragraph tells us that his head was cut off, and actually astronomy agrees with this, and that the serpents were cut up as well to make seperate constellation. Not a secure site You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. But the word play about the constellation, is eerily similar to the word play of the Voynich on this star chart and in the 9 rosette folio about. If anyone is interested in the 3 charts done so far, here is the link You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. Working on the sunray one currently and one word i need to correct (type) should have read 'stare' not star on the paragraph for the fear this next chart. It speaks of Ophiuchus. Based on the 9 rosette folio, it was used for scrying and necromancy. This page uses some very old Biblical terms for the *‘object of worship’ or the mistranslated term ‘mole’ which means to dig out, and also for the ‘Ancient of days’. I will leave it to you the reader to research for yourselves, as it can be maddening to know what secrets were really involved in making the Philosophers Stone. Some key words in the Voynich are Basket for Womb, hated one for fetus, branch for fetus, weaver to create, Words surrounding the chart: (starting at 10 o’clock) Network or Grid To mutter silence Silence of basket Continuous / wharf silence dwell Insolent prick / penis To heal in this weariness Dust (something that cannot be measured) of the fool To lean oneself upon a large basket of unspecified measure Oh! (figure 2.8) Furthermore, as far a I can say Epsilon Cygni is indeed included in the VMS as "ockhy" (transcripted by me as "an-gan", originated from Arabic word: al-ganah, which means "wing") in 68r1. This chart seems to be a star map during the summer solstice, I will explain it later, when I reconstructed all stars on the map. Until now I´ve found 13 of 29. ![]() RE: Stars identified 68r.2 - Monica Yokubinas - 21-09-2019 (21-09-2019, 05:07 PM)Gavin Güldenpfennig Wrote: You are not allowed to view links. If all the stars on the left side of the Milky Way were moved up, then it is correct. The writer of the VMS was cramming as much into the chart as possible I would guess. Please remember, the Arabic astronomy was translated into Latin in he 12th Century and many stars lont their meanings, names, positions, etc... You are not allowed to view links. RE: [Merged] Stars identified - -JKP- - 22-09-2019 Monica, I haven't had time to look at your updated star charts and probably can't for a while, but I was going to mention that flipping a star chart would not be out of character for a Middle Eastern viewpoint. It was very common for Persian books of constellations to include mirror views (one from an inside, one from outside point of view). This is less common in western manuscripts. These were difficult to do as i had to look at Arabic, Syrian and Persian names, as there are not a lot of Hebrew names known. So I phonetically sounded out the Voynich words which is why I switched (arrowed line on workup) the two Ayin sounding words to find their proper place. One spelted "ayang" the other "ahyan". Ayang is Al-Janah the wing of Cygnus, and Ahyan is Ayn for the eye of the bull in Taurus. Cassiopeia translated to firepot + fetters or chains, but was known as the stained hand of Fatima. Made a leap of faith on that one. ![]() |
